Dentistry is a family affair at Pomerado Dental. Not only are we a husband
and wife dental team, but our entire office works together to give you
the same kind of treatment and care we would give our own family – the

Mark E. Salamy, DDS
Dr. Salamy is a native San Diegan. He grew
up in Allied Gardens, near San Diego State, and attended Patrick
Henry High School. He earned his way as a peanut vendor at San Diego
Stadium (later called Jack Murphy Stadium and now Qualcomm Stadium).
After graduating from high school, Dr. Salamy received an
undergraduate degree from U.C. Berkeley, and then attended the
U.C.L.A. School
of Dentistry. Dr. Salamy then returned to the beautiful
San Diego/Poway area and formed what eventually became Pomerado Dental.

Lauren A. Snyder, DDS
Dr. Snyder grew up in the West Hills area of Los
Angeles. She is proud to have waitressed in over a half dozen eateries,
including Marie Calendar’s and Carlos Murphy’s. After
graduating from high school, she attended U.C. Berkeley, and
then the UCLA School of Dentistry. She also completed a
one year residency at the Martinez VA Outpatient Clinic.

Pomerado Dental
So the doctors both grew up in southern California, both went
to Cal for their undergraduate studies, and both went to UCLA
for dental school, where they finally met. Dr. Snyder moved to
San Diego after her General Practice Residency in Martinez.
The doctors were partners in business (they formed what became
Pomerado Dental in February, 1995) before they were partners
in life (married October, 1995).
Both dentists are members of the American Dental Association,
the California Dental Association, and the San Diego
County Dental Society. Both have received extra training
in cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign,and the NTI-tss headache
prevention device.
Outside of the office, Dr. Salamy and Dr. Snyder enjoy spending
time with their three children. You will find some of their favorite
local establishments in the Community News section of the website.

Matthew Osmak, DDS
Dr. Osmak graduated from the University of Detroit-Mercy School of Dentistry in 1985, after completing his undergraduate studies at Michigan State University. He recently completed a 21-year career as a dental officer in the United States Navy and now makes San Diego his home. Dr. Osmak joined Pomerado Dental in 2006.
He enjoys all phases of general practice and strives to make your dental visits relaxing, pain free, and often humorous. He has been married to his wife Karen for over 25 years and they have three lovely children, Gary, Erin (both graduates of Poway High School) and Brandon.

Pam, Michele, and Stephanie will be the friendly faces that welcome you to Pomerado Dental. They will schedule your appointments and answer many of your questions. They manage the front office to make sure everything runs real smoothly. |
Stacy and Desiree are registered dental assistants and help the doctors
in providing your care. They are great at making sure
you are comfortable throughout your visit. |
Karen and Marge are our
dental hygienists. If you’re
in good dental health, you’ll see them every six months.
They may advise you on better ways to brush and floss, review
your overall dental health with an Intraoral camera, and they
will keep you informed on the latest advances in dentistry. |
Danielle,
our sterilization technician, makes sure our facilities are clean
and all equipment is sterilized before and after each patient’s
visit. |
